We use Windy's paid weather forecast site.

Introducing photography tools

My YouTube channel is mainly "rain," so I check the weather forecast every day without any problems.

Until 2024, I used the Yahoo Weather app, which is free and easy to use even within Japan, but long-term weather forecasts such as the following week or the following week were not highly accurate. (The Yahoo Weather App uses the Rain Cloud Radar, which you use as a reference on the day of the shoot, is very useful.)

So, I started using Windy, a weather forecasting site that I had been interested in for a while, in 2025. I have an annual contract and use it.

Professional weather forecast
50+ weather layers, weather radar and satellite

I feel that the rainy areas and times have been extremely accurate.

This Windy was very useful to me in the snow video taken at Mt. Koya.

The sunlight was pouring brightly until just before filming, but Windy predicted, the clear sky had completely changed and heavy snow began to fall. This video was filmed after this.

Heavy rain is scheduled for next week on the Setouchi region.

Of course, I'm planning on going out to film the video. I'm currently considering what kind of video I'll be taking, but it's been a while since it's been heavy, so I'm looking forward to it. Stay tuned!
