I came across a famous cherry blossom spot by chance. The day of the filming was a stormy weather with thunder, which was unusual for the Setouchi region.

I take the JR Shikoku train to Takamatsu City to do my main job. As the cherry blossom trees in Kagawa Prefecture were in full bloom, I suddenly saw trees in full bloom from the train window. The location was a cherry blossom viewed around a pond called Niimiyaike, about halfway between Hataoka Station and Onimu Station.

On a sunny day, I immediately went out to scout locations to see if it was the right place to shoot YouTube videos. I was beginning to see a little of the cherry blossoms, so I thought I'd take a picture of this place if there was a forecast of rain coming soon.

We then visited this place on a day when there was a forecast of rain, but the weather began to rain, which was not in the forecast, and the winds began to gust and thunder began to erupt, causing unexpected storms.

I wanted to take a photo near the cherry blossom trees, but the wind and rain were so strong that I couldn't get out of the rest area. I always try to film with the sound of rain falling on my umbrella in mind, but I thought this was a good opportunity to record the sound of rain falling on other parts of the umbrella, so I decided not to force myself to go into the stormy weather and stop at a rest area to record the sound of rain.

Here's a video taken from that perspective!
