Sunrise in the Seto Inland Sea in winter seen from Sunrise Seto

Limited release video

This video was taken while riding the sleeper express train "Sunrise Seto" around 6:50am on February 17, 2024.

The view in the window is the dawn of the Seto Inland Sea as seen from inside the train crossing the Seto Ohashi Bridge .
can only be seen during the limited period of February and October of the year

The train seats are "Nobi Nobi seats." This video was realized by multiple conditions, including the seats on the second floor on the left side of the road, and the fact that the eastern sky was open, and that there were no clouds in the direction of the rising sun due to the clear weather.

The recording uses the TASCAM DR-07X, which also records the sound of the train running and the conductor's guide broadcast.
There are also some slight noises that occurred when I changed position myself.

It was very cold during the filming, the air was clear, and the gradation before dawn was beautifully reflected.
This limited-edition footage is a special record that is only introduced to blog readers.

Sunrise from the Seto Bridge – A View from the Overnight Express

This limited-release video was filmed on the Sunrise Seto , Japan's only remaining overnight sleeper train, during its early morning crossing of the Seto Ohashi Bridge on February 17, 2024 .

Captured from a second-floor “Nobi Nobi” seat, the view shows the sun rising over the Seto Inland Sea — a moment that can only be seen a few days in February and October each year , when the timing, seat orientation, and weather conditions all align.

You'll hear the quiet ambient sounds of the train, occasional announcements from the conductor, and subtle personal movements recorded by a sensitive TASCAM microphone.

Cold winter air, clear skies, and the rare chance to see the sunrise from a moving sleeper train — this video offers a calm and uniquely Japanese experience.
